Pediatric-Renal-Urinary tract infection

UTIs are seen more frequently in boys as infants and are more common in uncircumcised boys.
This is because of higher incidence of urinary tract congenital abnormalities in boy.

The neonatal should be hospitalized and treated with IV ampicillin and gentamycin. Older children who needs hospitalization should be treated with IV cefriaxone or ampicillin with an aminoglycoside.
Cefriaxone (3rd cephasporin) is especially for renal abcess.

Admit febrile UTI patient.
